28.09.2016

Kazuki Yamada began his tenure as Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo on Friday 23 September in the presence of Caroline, Princess of Hanover. The programme, entitled ‘Born in Monte Carlo’, focussed on pieces and composers with an association with the Principality. In the previous week, Yamada and the orchestra unveiled longer-term plans for the orchestra, which include tours to Asia and the USA, recordings and a residency at Paris’s Théâtre des Champs Élysées, which will showcase the orchestra in symphonic repertoire, ballet and opera.
