Kazuki Yamada - Principal Guest Conductor of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra

Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of Kazuki Yamada as Principal Guest Conductor. He will hold this position for an initial period of three years, commencing in April 2018. As Principal Guest Conductor, he will spend a minimum of two weeks with the orchestra each season.

Yamada will return to the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra this November, leading performances of Antonin Dvorák's opera "Rusalka" at the Nissay Theatre in Tokyo. His first appearance in his new role as Principal Guest Conductor is planned for January 2019. In addition to this new position, Yamada is Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo and Principal Guest Conductor of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. In Japan, where Yamada is managed by Japan Arts, he holds further titles of Permanent Conductor of Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Director and Chairman of The Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo and Music Director of Yokohama Sinfonietta, an ensemble he founded whilst still a student.
