19.01.2018

2018 has quite some highlights in store for Gustavo, kicking off the year with an exciting tour with his Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg: from 19 to 28 January the orchestra and its Music Director will perform in Munich, Friedrichshafen, Linz, Innsbruck, Essen and Baden-Baden. The planned programme provide the orchestra with many opportunities to shine and show its full potential. The varying programmes include extracts from Wagner’s opera “Tannhäuser”, “Don Juan” by Richard Strauss and two works by Debussy, “Iberia” and “La Mer”. The programmes feature three fine soloists. Pianist Khatia Buniatishvili will delight the audience at Munich, Friedrichshafen and Linz with Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.2, violinist Baiba Skride will show her skills in Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor in Innsbruck and soprano Anja Harteros will radiate her vocal brilliance in Wagner’s “Wesendonck-Lieder” in Essen and Baden-Baden.
