In February the National Symphony Orchestra Washington will be touring in Europe - Spain, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and Poland. The Orchestra will be directed by Maestro Christoph Eschenbach, Music Director of the NSOW since 2010. Lang Lang and Daniel Müller-Schott will play as soloists. Lang Lang, once discovered and promoted by Eschenbach, is a major star in the international classical music scene today. According to the New York Times, he is “the hottest artist on the classical music planet”. He will play the Piano Concerto in A minor op. 16 by Grieg. Munich born Daniel Müller-Schott is one of the outstanding cellists of our time. He will present one of the best loved cello concertos: Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor.
