Cornelius Meister as Principal Guest Conductor in Tokyo

Cornelius Meister begins his tenure as Principal Guest Conductor with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra by conducting two concerts in Tokyo at the Metropolitain Theatre on September 16 and 17 as well as one concert in Yokohama at the Minato Mirai Hall on September 18. Soloist will be Daniil Trifonov performing Sergei Prokofiev’s piano concerto No. 2. The second half of the programme includes Beethoven’s symphony No. 6. Cornelius Meister is looking forward to his new position and the upcoming years together with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra! He says: “I feel proud and honoured to have been appointed Principal Guest Conductor.”
